Mail icon will not disappear after I have read my mail?

For the last three days my inbox mail icon shows that I have unread e- mails when I haven't? I have cleared all mail from my inbox, but it is still showing the red icon saying that I have mail?

Any ideas guys?

iPod touch, iOS 9.0.2
